Mixie’s Tips:

  • It can be helpful to talk about this together at the end of each day. Your child might think about feelings they have seen in their own family, their friends, or even people on TV! Remember to ask which face clues they noticed.

  • It might help to start by giving them an example such as “I noticed Billy was really happy today as his mouth was smiling when we were at the park” or “ I noticed Daddy was a bit angry today as he was frowning when he was talking on the phone”. “What face clues did you notice today?”

This week, practise recognising feelings by being a Face Clue Detective!

Look at other people’s faces and see if you can notice their feelings from their face clues.

At the end of each day, try to tell your grown-up some of the different feelings that you noticed.
