The Emotions Place is currently running a small trial of a new series of activity-based learning resources called The Mixie Adventures and we would love to invite you and your child to take part. 

The Mixie Adventures are designed to build strong emotional literacy skills, helping children to understand and manage their feelings in a simple, engaging and child-friendly way. Each Adventure is accessed via a screen and explored together with a parent or trusted adult. It includes a mix of on-screen and off-screen activities, with simple opportunities to talk built in along the way. The Adventures are designed for all children and can be enjoyed as part of everyday learning, while also supporting those who may benefit from a little extra help. 

Taking part in this trial will give your child the opportunity to develop a better understanding of their feelings, learn practical ways to express and manage emotions and build confidence and emotional awareness.

About the Trial

Families who take part will receive access to one trial Adventure: 

The Discovery Land Adventure to The Feelings Forest
Ages: 6 to 8 
Theme: Emotional awareness 

The Adventure is made up of 10 short weekly sessions, called Missions.

Each Mission takes around 20 to 30 minutes to complete. 

What taking part involves

You will receive access to the Adventure and supporting materials for 100 days. As part of the trial you will be asked to: 

• Work through one Mission each week, using the step-by-step guidance provided  

• Complete a short feedback form at the end of the Adventure  

All guidance and materials are provided, and no prior knowledge is needed.

There is no cost to take part in this trial and your child will receive a personalised Adventure Certificate at the end of the trial.
